I have recently discovered this interesting technique of maedeup knotting. I am looking for a book for beginners. Can you send me a link for a book/s to help me discover this craft.
    Kind regards,

    • Hi and sorry for not responding earlier.
THere are several books that you can learn from, but none that really have a ‘beginner’ approach because maedup is a complex art which requires patience and practice. The basic knots are the fundamental element for the more complex ones. I would say that becky Merverden’s book is the maybe the simplest as there are no complex knots in it:just the basics. I myself learned from Kim sang Lan’s book and find the projects quite stunning. Once you have acquired the basic knots, ‘Knot another’ is a fantastic book for learning the more complex knots. They are pretty much all in there!
Good luck on your maedup quest and enjoy!
